August Ballet Intensive — Intermediate (Grade 6 & 7)

Corrib Dance Academy's August Ballet Intensive returns for summer 2026 with a dedicated intermediate strand for dancers preparing RAD Grade 6 and Grade 7.

Running afternoons from Monday 17 to Thursday 20 August at the Corrib Dance Academy Studios in Galway, the four-day course is built around the technical foundations that intermediate dancers need to consolidate before exam season - clean classical line, developing pointe strength, and the stamina to carry longer enchaînements and repertoire.

Each afternoon balances syllabus preparation with choreographic work, repertoire, and dedicated conditioning. Guest teachers join the faculty across the week to broaden the dancers' exposure beyond the home studio.

Open to ages 12–18 working at intermediate level. A focused way to step back into the studio ahead of the new school year.

Corrib runs three intensives in parallel during the week of 17–20 August:

• August Dance Camp — mornings, for younger dancers (ages 8–13)

• August Ballet Intensive — Advanced — running alongside the intermediate strand in the afternoons, for dancers preparing RAD Grade 8

Intermediate-level dancers, suitable for Grade 6 & 7 students. Ages 12–18.
