About Corrib Dance Academy
The home of ballet in Galway since 1996, Corrib Dance Academy welcomes students, parents and future members to its dedicated studios in Briarhill Business Park, Galway. Founded and led by Phyllis Hayes, the school introduces children of all ages to a love of ballet and movement, and provides structured training to the highest standard following the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded system.
From a child's very first Pre-Ballet class through to Grade 8 and vocational-level training, students progress through the full RAD pathway alongside classes in classical ballet, modern, and contemporality dance. The school has a long tradition of staging full productions, with recent shows including Journey Through Narnia (2025), Neverland (2023), and a 20th Anniversary Gala marking two decades of dance in Galway.
