Overview

Founded in 2009 by Lindsay Ashe-Browne (Artistic Director of the Irish National Youth Ballet), The Dance Institute provides world-class summer intensives for dancers aged 10+.

Co-directed by Zoe Ashe-Browne (formerly of Royal Ballet of Flanders), TDI is renowned for bringing an elite international faculty to Dublin.

Their programs offer a unique blend of technical excellence and injury prevention, featuring Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Commercial, and specialized conditioning like Pilates and Yoga. They pride themselves on offering a nurturing, professional environment where young dancers can build resilience and ignite their passion.

World-Class Faculty

The Dance Institute is unique in bringing an elite international faculty to Dublin. Our guest tutors have included principal dancers and performers from:

  • The Royal Ballet & English National Ballet

  • Berlin State Opera Ballet

  • The National Ballet of Ireland

Under the direction of Lindsay Ashe-Browne (Artistic Director, INYB) and Zoe Ashe-Browne (Choreographer & former professional, Royal Ballet of Flanders), students receive industry-leading instruction that bridges the gap between Irish training and the global stage.

Who it's for

Aimed at motivated young dancers aged 10 to 18+ (Suggested Grade: Grade 2/Level 2 and upwards). It is ideal for students looking for high-level supplementary training during the summer months.

  • Masterclass Series: Intensive daily training in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Commercial, Tap, and Musical Theatre.

  • Injury Prevention: Daily Pilates and Yoga sessions specifically tailored for dancer longevity and safe practice.

  • Elite Venue: Fully equipped, professional studios at DanceHouse, Foley Street—Ireland’s premier dance facility.

Schedule

Daily Routine & Timetable:

  • Morning Session: Intensive technical training in Classical Ballet followed by Jazz or Contemporary technique.

  • Lunch Break: Supervised break for dancers.

  • Afternoon Workshops: Two specialized workshops per day.

  • Ballet Repertoire & Pointe Work

  • Bollywood & Commercial Dance

  • Yoga, Pilates, and Stamina Training

  • Choreography & Task Work

  • Friday Finale: The week culminates in a Studio Showcase for family and friends, featuring 12–15 choreographed pieces.
