About The Loft Ballet Company

The Loft Ballet Company is an auditioned classical ballet company for adult dancers in Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, open to intermediate and advanced dancers aged 15 and over. Members rehearse together as a company and perform in staged productions, taking their ballet beyond the weekly class.

The company is co-directed by Ríonach O'Neill, founder of The Loft Dance Studio, and Fernando Palma, a Brazilian-born dancer and choreographer who was previously artistic director and ballet master of Campinas Dance Company. Its productions pair classical repertoire with contemporary and original works.

Entry is by audition, and members pay a membership fee, with details given during the audition process. Previous performance experience is not required, and pointe work is a bonus but not essential. Regular attendance at rehearsals is expected. The company aims to stage one production per season, with two seasons a year.

Its first production, Don Quixote Suite & Other Works, plays dlr LexIcon in Dún Laoghaire on 4, 5 and 6 December 2026. To audition, apply through The Loft Dance Studio's company page.
