About The Dance Studio Bangor

The Dance Studio is a purpose-built dance studio in Bangor, founded in 1996 by professional dancers Graham and Nicola Drake. It takes students from beginner to pre-professional level, and many of its pupils have gone on to professional careers in dance.

Ballet follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ages 6 to 18, from Primary through to Advanced, with the senior grades carrying UCAS points. Rising Stars Ballet introduces ages 3 to 5 to classical posture, musicality and performance, working towards levelled certificates and the annual June show.

Alongside ballet the studio runs jazz for ages 6 to 18 at mini, junior, intermediate and advanced levels, Acrobatic Arts for ages 6 to 13, lyrical for ages 12 to 16, and stretch and conditioning from age 10.
