About StarLight Academy
StarLight Academy runs recreational dance and performance classes in Drogheda, across ballet, modern, jazz, tap and stage performance, lyrical, commercial, gymnastics and acro, speech and drama, and strength and flexibility.
Ballet classes are divided by age and skill, and students progress by taking grade examinations.
Alongside recreational classes the academy fields up to eight competition teams, grouped by a mix of age, skill and competition preference. Team dancers train across tap, jazz, ballet, modern, acro and team choreography, and compete through the year, with all dancers appearing in the annual showcase. The academy also runs summer camps and has taken part in the Dance World Cup.
Classes are held at the academy in Aston Village, Drogheda, and at Gaelscoil an Bhradain Feasa in Colp West.
