About Eileen Moore Dance Academy
Eileen Moore Dance Academy teaches ballet, modern theatre, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and acro from age four through to adults.
Ballet is taught as a graded syllabus, from Pre-Primary and Primary through Grades 1 to 5 and on to Teen Ballet, and students are entered for exams. Separate beginner ballet and modern classes start at ages 8 to 12 and 12 plus, for children coming to dance late. An invite-only progression programme, Elevate, is open from age 12 to students considering dance as a career.
The academy opened in 2025 and is run by Eileen Moore, who holds an ISTD Diploma in Dance Education in classical ballet, a Diploma in Dance Education in modern theatre, RAD Advanced 1 in ballet and ISTD Advanced 2 in modern, and is a certified Acrobatic Arts instructor. Adult classes run at Portlaoise and Abbeyleix, covering beginner and improvers ballet, jazz and tap.
