About Cork School of Dance
Cork School of Dance teaches classical ballet from age three at the Firkin Crane in Cork City’s Shandon Quarter. It was established in 2009 by Sinéad Murphy, who also directs Cork Youth Ballet Company.
Ballet is the school’s primary class. Pupils also train in pointe, Progressing Ballet Technique, modern, commercial jazz and contemporary. The school enters pupils for ISTD examinations and reports a 100 per cent pass rate.
It runs Be Inspired: Back to Ballet each August at Longyard Studios, an independently run course open to students from any school. New pupils currently join through a waiting list.
